Weekend at the Movies 9/9/16

My weekend got an early start this afternoon at Kensington, MD. Fellow OGR Member SJC and I were setting up for the Kensington Train Days  train show with the National Capital Trackers. We took a break to walk over to the tracks, former B&O, now CSX and MARC. Sometimes you just happen to be at the right place at the right time.  I'll have more of the O-Gauge running later in the weekend.

This video is a product review of the Lionel, LionChief Plus - Reading and Northern. This is a Pacific type locomotive that is modeled after a Baldwin locomotive that was built in 1928. This locomotive is still in service today at the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, Port Clinton, Pensilvania.

My second clip for WOM is an over new of the Kensington, MD Train Days show, with dixieland music. Music and trains, what could be better?

Here's some Post-War LIONEL Speed today at the Kensington, MD National Capital Trackers show. Fellow OGR member SJC has recently become a post-war enthusiast, as those who have read his posts know. Here is his turbine paired with a 736, with Williams tender, at classic Lionel speed.

The Postwar Duo should be making another appearance today. My Williams 746 J reproduction is also ready to go!

Even with two locos and magnetraction, they still slipped a bit getting up that hill!

Here's one from this morning at Kensington, MD, before the show opened to the public. some over and under action. SJC's turbine was in action again as well.   Blue Comet is being hauled by Lionel C&O Hudson #305. Superliner is Williams, with a Lionel heritage baggage car and one MTH car on the rear.

After seeing the real Capitol Limited on Friday, (see Real Trains), of course I had to run my Williams Capitol Limited. A Lionel heritage baggage car and one MTH car on the rear mar an otherwise all-Williams consist.
