LOVE that Cass Heisler Scott!!!  I actually got to work on her for one day back during the refurb. 

Nothing that exciting this week......but a very nice caboose from Legacy Station...

Atlas Trainman NS....I still run cabooses on all trains....a VERY nice model.

I noticed the high tension wires in these shots and was wondering what was used for them.  They realistically sag.  I was going to use EZ line when installing mine, but don't like the fact they would have no sag.

A 2016 Christmas layout memory. 

getting old by now, but one more week of the winter section.  A guest gave me a gift that I placed in that area and my earlier pictures didn't include it so I wanted to make sure to express my thanks to him by posting the gift (the glass manger scene).

Here's what I got for this week -
I finished the plaster on the upper level last week & started ballasting the track & am planning to do some grass on the hills this upcoming weekend. Photos to follow next week.

Picked up another engine this week - an MTH CNJ Camelback. To me, that's the signature CNJ steam engine, so I was glad I found another one to add to the layout.









Also picked up some rolling stock - 3 CNJ hoppers. 2 are Lionel & 1 is K Line


Broke out the GG1 led mint train for some fun this week.


Lucia wanted to hang out & run some trains again




The Southern heritage unit basks in a morning sun bath at the fuel racks in Bluefield yard


NS 236 ducks under the Robinson signals on the Christiansburg District with a UP leader


A lone NS ES44AC sits idle on the Dry Fork Branch in Iaeger, WV


With the day winding down, NS 819 heads westbound through Shawsville, VA just past 8 PM with The Virginian Heritage motor on the point.

What manufacturer made those CNJ coaches?

Bob, I think we just used black string... I will be at the club tomorrow and I will check and confirm

Christopher, I always love your pics in your posts!  Looks like there's an ET44AC behind the NS Southern heritage unit in your pic.

Canadian power making a rare excursion through Paterson, NJ!

I was up at midnight as well, not playing with trains, just a midnight shift in a cold factory. But my mind was elsewhere.

Been working on scenery around the power station and water tower this week.....

My 3 year old grandson was a big help making trees this week too.....

When he wasn't taking  break...

This week I've been really enjoying my new Lion Chief Plus B&O A5. I hope to let it stretch its (little) legs next weekend at the National Capital Trackers show at the MD State Fairgrounds, Timonium, MD. This week it kind of took charge on the home layout.

Wish I could get there but I wouldn't be in Maryland until next weekend.

An MTH Chessie System C&O bay-window caboose and a K-Line Great Northern 40' reefer.

Great shots.  Love your use of bokeh and depth of field.  Your images are extremely sharp and, of course, the content was enjoyable.  I checked out your Flickr site also.  Very nice job on train coverage there.  I knew you were a photographer when I saw these.

Completed putting together the M & STL Service Station Set from 1978. Led by the M&STL Geep (middle shelf) and some attractive rolling stock.

Always thought this was a great looking box car from the MPC era.

Had a fun day at the Big E train show.  Spent 6 hours looking at layouts and trains in 4 big buildings.   Ran into Elliot and Ginny and Alex M. at the Charles Ro booth.  I took a bunch of pictures.  I'll post them tomorrow evening after I get back home.
