A new MTH Premier Saskatchewan 100-ton cylindrical hopper from Mr. Muffin's Trains arrived. It is a great addition to all the other Canadian cylindrical hoppers that I got over the past decade.

I got the toy train itch a few weeks ago and I finally fulfilled a childhood dream of mine: a set of postwar Lionel Santa Fe F3s with the 2500-series aluminum passenger cars. I was outbid at the last minute for a set of 2343s, but I found a great pair of 2353s.
The Super O track was picked this afternoon at a garage sale, of all places. I'm super excited to have some trains again, and now that I have a house with basement I'm hoping to build a train layout in the near future.

I have been working on kitbashing/detailing a Lionel Rico station to look like it belongs on the CPR.
I install soffiting on both roofs and am in the process of installing floors and building a staircase to the 2nd floor
Because this kit was already built, I removed the windows for painting and was unwilling to remove the most stubborn ones for fear of destroying the frame
I was researching the net for a interior plan of the station but no luck
I have the floors cut out of 1/8” styrene and am debating how much detail to include in the project
Here are some pics of the work thus far

Nice work! Definitely has a CPR feel to it. Have you tried the Canadian Pacific Historical Association, www.cptracks.ca, for an interior reference? They have a pile of original CPR blueprint scans, including a bunch of stations, in their reference library. You just need to register and you can access their material.

Really cool set.....congrats and enjoy!

Albert the station is looking real nice. You're going to add a staircase, where are you putting the door? I assume it'll be the sidewall, where the middle window is? What color are you going to pint the windows?

That's a beautiful train. It is nice to see the Southern Railway operating so far from home. Graham Claytor would be proud.

Thank you all who commented on the station. Im still working on it while I digest my Thanksgiving dinner lol
Having fun detailing the structure not sure where it will end up probably when i have to start getting some detail parts(need funds)
Rob - i am aware CPHS and the drawings they have. I was hoping to find a basic floor plan for the Rico station but have a pretty good idea where I will put the staircase
Coach Joe- I will be painting the windows the same cream colour already used and olive green for the doors
Here are a few more pics of the project
