I just got back to the Train Room from Colasanti’s Market in Highland, Michigan. This is a fun store for model train buffs because they have a G-Scale ceiling layout. Check it out.

It is late 1949 and a pair of Pennsy Sharks are getting ready to pull out with a coal drag. While all Sharks were delivered with the 5-stripe passenger engine paint scheme, they were bought for freight service. By the late '50s most were repainted with the single stripe of a freight engine.
These are Lionel Century Club II Sharks.

I've been following your work for years and am never let down, fantastic quality
This is either a continuation of or a correction to my post above on PRR freight Sharks. I said in that post that all Pennsy Sharks were delivered with the 5-stripe passenger paint scheme, which is true. However, I gave the impression that all Sharks were freight Sharks which is wrong. The Pennsy did receive nine ABA sets of BP20 Passenger Sharks, which were considerably longer than the freight Sharks. Below are some photos for comparison. The short engine is Lionel's version of the freight Shark, the long engine is Weaver's version of the passenger Shark.
My Weaver BP20 AB consist has been upgraded with ERR and run great.
The new Rio Grande extended-vision caboose, with operating platform marker lights, from Lionel.

I have two layouts in my basement. The newer one with the trestle is 10'-by-5', completed in 2019. These pictures are on the older one, 12'-by-8', completed in 2004.

The Train Masters of Babylon had an open house today and I made the drive to go and check it out. One of, if not the best, layouts I have ever seen.

The Christmas O gauge layout set up for a short time in the town hall building at the Vicksburg Historical Society in Vicksburg, Michigan. The railroads in the area were the Grand Rapids & Indiana to the Pennsylvania Railroad and the Grand Trunk Western railroad.

Here is a video of the Grand Trunk Western custom painted LIONEL/MPC GP20 diesel engine loco as a GP38-2 diesel loco and Premier GTW ALCo S-2 diesel switcher pulling a freight train on one track and a Railking Pennsylvania steam locomotive pulling a passenger train on the other track.
