Cotton Belt 815 crosses the new cable bridge I just finished!

John:

We will be building a similar cable bridge on our layout.  It looks like you got the proportions just right.  Would you mind sharing how tall the tower is from the roadbed surface to the top of the tower?

Nice job.

Thanks.

Came across these in the attic a few minutes ago. K-line knew how to create excitement in the hobby. They released those great Mikados and Pacifics in multiple road names plus passenger cars. They made the slight adjustments for each engine (like moving the headlight). Their 2 bay diecast coal hoppers have never been beat. I miss K-Line.

All great photos once again everyone.  I have had so much going on, I haven't even opened the Weekend Photo Fun for a few weeks.  Here are some photos of my grade testing and time test for running a train one pass on the proposed layout plan.  Please take a look at my topic with the link in my signature for information behind the photos.

Last is my brand new Bessemer and Lake Erie Premier PS3 F7 A-B I purchased from Mr Muffin.  The only engine I own that I bought brand new.

Terry,

I am with you on the whiskers.  I like that and the fat black strip on early B&LE diesels much better than the solid orange.

I grew up along the B&O in Valencia, so I understand what you mean about in your blood.

Looks to me your having train withdrawal issues.

Lot of eye candy this weekend and as usual this thread rocks.  Finger hurts and barley moves but that ok.   I know I missed some but to tell the truth all the contributions are great. Speaking of contribution and now I see eyes rolling. New video with some Eurotrash for a sound track.  Ok think of it this way its Saturday night It took some doing but did finally get and Atlas TMCC to lash up with a Lionel Legacy.

We had a running session on the Casey Jones High Railers modular layout today. I took my Lionel TMCC Pennsy M1A recently repaired by Alex M. Here are a couple of videos.  Alex brought this engine back from the dead!

I

I also ran my Vision Line Reefer in the train.

Thanks for looking at the videos. Please take a look at our new model railroad website we just finished building for the purpose of showcasing all the model railroad groups along with their activities in the Memphis area.

Have a great weekend,

The bridge is 90 inches long.  Tower is 32 inches high.

Base is Masonite.  Sides are .75 square wood.  Towers are .25 square wood.  Cables are silver paracord from Hobby Lobby and took 48 feet to do.

Doug,

You do have a very good point!  I have been itching for over 20 years for a whole room, even if it is only about 140 sq ft, to call my own for trains!  I have to keep things in perspective, get a good plan, finish off the room appropriately, and take my time.  Thanks for the comment!!
