generator? looks like a exhaust manifold in the foreground.....
Just finished a ERR upgrade on a Lionel conventional S2 Turbine , the turbine sounds are pretty cool. I also installed a fan driven smoke unit along with LED lighting.

Here are a few Pictures of my G% 10 Wheeler's, The MTH version in the background is L.I.R.R. a the Lionel Version in the foreground is NYC. Both engines stopped just beyond the passenger station. Both good runners whether I run the at home or on the TMB Club Layout. Today is GOOD FRIDAY, but thanks to Scott, every Friday is a good Friday.
Here is my UP excursion train with the new 21" passenger cars. I've had no real problems with these cars with only minor cosmetic defects which I consider weathering. You'll notice the very tight coupling. Basically I removed the 3-rail couplers from the kinematic mounting arm and replaced it with a Kadee #746 long shank couplers. There are more details to it and some drawbacks. I'm about 75% done with a video on how I did it which covers all these details and drawbacks. I hope to finish it soon.
To see more photos and a short video of this train visit my website at www.toytrainsontracks.com
Ok, it’s not a still picture. But for all you NYO&W fans, enjoy!

LCJ&I Lines needs to unload logs and coal from older cars into newer ones. Luckily, a new multipurpose unloading ramp is available to handle this. What could possibly go wrong? (Hint: wait for the outtakes.) This is #48 in my LCJ&I Lines series.
Rich, Nice! I like the DD40 you have tucked in behind the Big Boy for protection power. Very prototypical.

Scott,
I'll guess a steam generator inside an F unit.

Great photos as always.
Thanks Christopher!
Scott, I'm in left field here. Maybe a PA? But the only PA I can think of is McCormik's. Don't know if that has a steam generator in it or not.

GG1 steam generator.......
Happy weekend. Shark Bay Railroad Alco HH660 #150 "Anchor" working at Cape Shark yard & Port of Shark Bay.
My newly custom built display cabinets, finally had a chance a few weekends ago to populate them with some of my postwar collection. A friend of mine is getting into building these for people so if anyone is interested please shoot me a email and I can get you his contact info. I can't say enough good things about these cabinets and how good of quality these are built. And they have lexan fronts to keep the dust off which slide nicely.
My son approves of them, while holding his vintage Donald Duck pez dispenser.

I've been posting photos on here the last few months showing the construction of my engine servicing facility. The work is now about 90% finished, and work has begun on all of the detailing. Here are two photos of that work. One shows the power lines coming into the facility. The poles and insulators are up, but the wiring still has to be installed. An electrial substation built by Stu Gralnik can be seen in the right center of the photo. The other is a Berkshire Valley ground throw assembled and installed by my friend Mark Vinski. The thing actually rotates when the switch is thrown. He is a true craftsman...amazing work!

I know that the VMT has a GG-1 that is in bad shape. How about a GG-1 steam generator?

We have a winner!
The GG1 at the Virginia Museum of Transportation is the one Lionel took measurements off of to create the JLC GG-1's.
