It looks odd that more steam is produced than smoke. Great effect all the same.
Marty started a thread this week about upgrading the motor for the Yellow Belly. A big thanks for bringing this to my attention. Here is a shot of mine.
Posted this on themes yesterday, but it fits good for the photo fun! Thanks Scott for doing your part.
Western Mass. Love those Keil line kits! Adds so much detail!
Back drop is approx. 75% done still needs alot of detail of leaves, brush and autumn color. Need to eventually mount switch machines under the table and Scale signals from custom signals So much to do so little scratch!
Have a GREAT Weekend everyone!

That it does, but it happens. A good fireman can do it.
Thanks for this terrific thread, Scott. I have been reading it regularly. Now I can contribute.
R. J. Walpole of TM Books & Video built an O scale model of my hometown station in Berne, PA, at milepost 72 north/railroad west of Reading Terminal, Philadelphia. It was torn down in the mid-1950's. But now I have an outstanding model.
What a great start this week - Lots of good photos!
Scott, your Hudson conversion and the clip you posted earlier this week is really encouraging- Thanks for sharing it with us.
Continuing in a 'Hudson Frame of Mind", here's ours making a circuit around the layout with a NYC freight consist. Thanks for humoring me here with multiple shots but I figure most of us don't get tired of seeing the venerable Hudson in action...

Just love your waterfront scenes. Very nicely done.
Another 2011 Christmas layout memory.
Drive-in attendees are picking their spot - the movie starts soon. It's not quite dark enough yet in this twilight scene.
Gold was found under Hogwarts castle so it was pulled down and mine buildings now stand where the castle once stood.

Your night shot is spectacular.

A Canadian Pacific northbound passenger train exits the South entrance of the lower level tunnels. (a lot to finish yet, but it's coming along)

Great photos as usual! Thought I'd rain on the party a bit and show what happens when a Lionel GE Evolution Hybrid takes a tumble to a thinly carpeted concrete floor.....
BIG mistake by me....and expensive too! I sent it to Lionel this past week for repair and I spoke with them yesterday and I will have it back in perfect condition by the end of next week. Great Service from Tech Brian at Lionel!!

DOWNTOWN WASHINGTON DC MEMORIES.........
I took these over a year ago. This was one of the best places in DC to buy your Lionel back in the day. Not sure if it is still open now. They did have some Standard Gauge on shelves behind the counter for display. 14th Street and around P St NW
The pictures above was from Strasburg Pa on Saturday. It was a nice day to visit and look at trains.

Dewey is that an old stinky smelly diesel I see!?
Gosh Ron, I forgot about those Weaver E-8s in the photo. Roger will be on my case. I ran the E-8s and the pretty MTH PAs a lot back in the day! E8s are still conventional, PAs were converted to TM/RS 4.0.
The other photo shown down below displays the fuse block I installed when my wife and her 7 golfing buddies, who liked to run my trains, went shopping and left the power on and my Challenger's throttle about 1/2 up. I was away but apparently the ZW's breaker finally tripped when the traction tires wore out, shredded and the
4-6-6-4 just sat down on the ties. Eventually TMCC, PoHos and TPCs replaced the pw ZWs but the fuses stayed until I tore down the operation in 3/08, built 2/92.
Hey C Sam, mighty nice equipment and scenery photos you are displaying today.
Layout STILL in construction phase. Can't run a complete loop yet. Someday, hopefully? Never enough time. The new Lionel Legacy NS SD70M-2 has the Hasky Stack unit train ready to roll. My Son loves the Legacy lights and sounds!
hey dewey! i've seen those pictures! you know that you LOVE those "stinkin'" diesels! just come on and cross over to the other side!!!
Sam,
That's an amazing picture of that store on 14th Street. Lifelong area resident and I've never seen that before. A good example of the old days when trains could be purchased in hardware stores and other assorted businesses besides the standard hobby shop.
Will have to see if it's still there next time I'm passing through.
Ok, got the tracking number for my 3rd Rail PRR S2. This guy is headed to Midlothian and I'm excited. Scott, you inspired me. I plan to turn this over to JDS Limited in York in October. It will may even be featured in an upcoming edition of "Pimp My Locomotive". We're talking the full Mac-daddy treatment.
This is #1 of 4 Turbines on my list. Waiting patiently for #3 on the list (but #1 in my heart) the N&W TE-1 2300.
Here's #2. It's no slouch. Kanawah upgraded it to TMCC. It also has CANDOPLATES.Com brass Baldwin Builder plates.
#4 My UP #80 threw all 12 traction tires it's first time out and I never got around to taking pictures. It did continue to pull (without complaint) the "Train of Sin" 27+ car Tobacco/Beer reefer train w/o any traction tires. I will try and get a "family photo" of the three of them together for next week.

"Love those big Turbines!"
Sam, great tower scene. I would love to see more.
