Have finally acquired another Lionel AT&SF E6 after selling our original AA pair some years ago. This is the rear facing non-powered unit that I will exchange the pilot for the closed passenger pilot and fix it to the frame soon for a better look.
Running with it is a new MTH E6 B unit I came across on the auction site recently for an opening bid of $60. I was the lone bidder! The MTH unit is a much brighter silver than the Lionel A unit which appears almost 'gray' by comparison. It must be from the older Weaver tooling as it lacks much of the detail of the Lionel unit. Not sure yet how I will power this one at present but may order a 3rd Rail powered B unit w/sound when available.
