Pat - Great looking train!!!  My favorite photo is the 4th photo with the train rounding the bend beside the opposite main track.  Needless to say, the Hudson makes a strong statement!  I'm glad the muse inspired you to put this consist together.  Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks Joey – I always wondered why some common schemes are always overlooked by the OEM’s.

ebay guy DMTECK, The Brass Caboose in Feasterville -Trevose, Pennsylvania has

Quality decals in all scales. Sheets will do 2 cars on average for 10 bucks.

Plus nice photos of the real cars to copy. This beat up non roof walk SP&S DD in brown is on my to do list. Just bought the Lionel 50' GTW through an OGR member on here last week. It will be heading to the baking soda blaster soon. Nice addition to my collection with remaining grey primer and rust on top!

Thanks for the info on the Brass Caboose, Steve.  I'll have to look him up for future re-lettering/decal projects.

I couldn't resist this one. One of our members (a former 2-rail O scaler in his college days believe it or not) came into possession of an MTH scale-wheeled SD40-T2. Since he kids me about my scale-wheeled operation, I appreciated the irony of the situation and took it as a challenge to make this locomotive compatible with his roster of hi-rail equipment. Of course, it also gives me the opportunity to never let him hear the end of it. The obvious was putting on a set of hi-rail wheels removed from an inoperative AC4400W I have (my last new hi-rail locomotive purchased), but I had to figure out how to couple it to another unit. The rear coupler is one I removed from an old Weaver RS3 I had for parts. I used a Kadee 743 box and shaved notches into the coupler shank to allow more swing. It now goes through an O-72 curve with a hi-rail dummy coupled to it without any problems. Of course, I put a Kadee 743 on the front pilot as a permanent reminder of the locomotives TRUE nature.

Great Job Everyone !

Here are a few pics of a new layout I just finished Tonight !  I modified the original design !  I put in two reverse loops !

The Lionel LIONCHIEF plus NYC MIKADO was the first to run on it ! There were two bad pieces of track replaced after the first run.  I ran 4 engines through the layout  after that !  The Mth Bershire picked a switch & shorted the layout ! The circuit breaker popped rite away on the Z-1000 ! Thank God !   Any Way I had fun for three hours running trains  .  The Mth Mohawk & 5- 60'passenger cars  ran great also ! DSCN1002DSCN1006DSCN0998DSCN0999DSCN1008DSCN1017DSCN1014DSCN1021DSCN1010
