The Erie Limited excursion crossing the Genesee River gorge at Portage in Lechworth State Park
Letchworth won USA Today's Reader's Choice competition as the best state park in the United States.
The former Erie RR bridge, now Norfolk Southern, replaced a 1851 wood bridge that burned in 1875. The present bridge was originally designed for South Africa but was diverted to the Erie Instead
A new bridge is scheduled to be built just to the south of this one.

Part of the James J. Hill, Great Northern Railroad design of Glacier National Park was the two mountain-top chalets. Sperry Chalet and Granite Park Chalet, both were hike-in only resorts with limited provisions. Granite Park can be accessed from the Loop trail, a steep 4 mile climb. Also from Logan Pass an 8 mile trek across the mountain slopes. Slideshow of the hike to Granite Park Chalet.

Happy weekend everyone! I've taken the last couple months off from weathering to focus on my golf game. That really hasn't paid off so I'm back to weathering!

Thanks Matt, it really is a nice car and set. The manufacturer is K-Line and the size is 21".

I got one of the new MTH Premier NKP Berkshires out to play with - it's terrific....
Here's a video..... I'm still learning how to film with the camera and tripod on rollers - not the greatest, but this time I didn't trip while rolling it backwards.....
