Many of the businesses on my layout are named after family and friends. This photo of the Dziduch Sausage Co. (pronounced Ze’dick) is to honor the memory of my friend and fellow forum member Frank Dziduch (Frank in Steam).

RIP, Frank; you will be missed.
Reminiscing about some steam engines that have seen service at one time or another on the CNYRR over the years:

You should be very proud of the completed catenery project.

WOW, that is terrific scene you have created, reminds me of central Pennsylvania.
Thanks Charlie....
I am adding some detail like insulators, etc. using beads from the craft store...

Have been reworking my CARS display for an hobby show I will be having a model rail display at; From the first CARS movie.
Going to add some more Cactus and other foilage yet and some other details.
Found the fire house recently and readjusted the street to fit it in.
Need a blinking yellow traffic light now!
Used an old Atlas loco and decals from the movie on the rail cars.
The 4 buildings (other then fire house) have light up signs do not see in daylight but in the darker venue of a show building they show up.
It is mounted on a 4x5 foam board light to carry and buildings lift off for transport.
Kids like it at the model train shows!

Looking forward to seeing everyones pics this week!
U.S. Army Docksider in front of Dave's Army Surplus:
We are really enjoying our new (to us) Lionel PRR T1.
It is an amazing model of an amazing prototype. Hopefully one day available in Legacy?
We will be moving late next month and the layout will of necessity have to be dismantled. We have our 'train friends' coming over tomorrow for a farewell get-together and I am busy today getting some bugs worked out.

Alan,
i bought it at York a few years ago from Stan's tanks. I did change a few things to make it look better and to fit the space I had. I do have plans for another building to go with the electrical grid.
Thought I'd share my first custom repaint project now that it's done. It has taken all summer and two attempts. It's not perfect, but it didn't turn out too bad.
It is a KLine that was originally painted as PRR.
The decals I made were problematic. The graphics turned out well, but they are just a bit thicker than regular decals and I just cannot get them to stick to all the rivets correctly.
Alex the town hall was at Toys R Us a year or so back, for the mini cars opens into a race track.
Great pics all nice details and weathering on the various railways and locos etc.
nice GN paint job great colors GN had!
Hi Ed P. - That was a former Hills Bros. Coffee reefer that I repainted and decaled.
Great photos!..... C. Sam - you're making me think I really need a Lionel T1.... Steve - I have that Atlas O RS-1 in C&O but mine doesn't look nearly that good....
Spent this afternoon at the O Scale group here in Indianapolis - man - the prices on some of the brass make me long for a cheap $1400 3rd Rail steamer.....
Here's a shot from the old layout that I really like....
Thanks....
TX Steven, your Great Northern looks terrific.
If you want better results with your decals conforming to the surface, try this:

I've used it and it does work!
Hiawatha tinplate.
Have a good weekend
Love the photos of the Zephyr!! I'm hoping to catch it on the way back. Just picked up a few gems from Berwyn's Toy Trains. The UPS truck, Trackmobile and BNSF Dash 9 dummy are the new adds. The UPS truck isn't the most detailed but more than sufficient for a distant city scene due to the dark brown paint. I'm having a blast with the Trackmobile. Talk about a perfect unit for layouts in a small space!!
I've finally gotten back to painting my backdrop (and to the layout in general!
GREAT TO SEE YOU BACK JEFF AND WORKING ON YOUR LAYOUT AGAIN
ALEX
Three quick shots of my new Premier MTH EJ&E transfer diesels sitting on the Rock Island line just to the south of Joliet's Union Station. Amazing engines. Full EJ&E pictoral review and video will be posted soon!
Lots accomplished on the layout over the last week. Its safe to say that for me at least, train season has fully arrived!
Zeke, Sent you email on the reefer car you customized, saw your othe work they lok great! Ed P.
