A lot of us are enjoying a long holiday weekend; so Weekend Photo Fun is underway early. Yesterday I took down the Halloween layout at the VMT and changed it into Frozen Christmas.
Let's see your pictures.

Scott, I really like how you change that layout for the seasons, and also just because. The kids must love it.
Tis the season...
Tomorrow begins the 3 day ScienceMuseum of Virginia show.....a major event of the holiday season. We will see 4000-5000 kids and adults daily. These are traditionally the biggest attendance days at the SMV. We are ready and excited!
From this morning's Richmond Times Dispatch......
Our 6x11 layout decorated up for the holidays......
Our big layout in a 12x42 configuration......
Come on down if you are in the area!

Spending Thanksgiving at Grandma & Grandpa’s House 🦃 • A Thanksgiving Album from Michigan 🦃 November 28, 2019
Meet my railroad crew watching the “Turkey Bowl”. Noah age 4 & Adam age 5. The Lion’s did it to us again. 24 to 20; Bears on top.
Grandma has a new Christmas painting in the family room. We are now preparing to set up the Classic Polar Express. Grandpa tells us this is the same train that our Dad used to run, when he was our age.
Hooking up the Polar Express to the passenger cars. All aboard to the North Pole.
Back in the train room running The Milwaukee Road.
A special train whistle to signal my brother to have his locomotive ready to leave the main yard
We are going to spend this weekend at grandma’s house. We just pick out our night time books.

A 2018 Christmas Layout Memory
This train lites up and is special to me as it was a gift from my Sister the year before she unexpectedly passed away. I try to use it on the layout every year.

Southern Pacific #1277, a light switcher now used to pull vineyard and spring wildflower excursions north of San Francisco on my Russian River Rapids Shortline Railroad. This steam locomotive was originally used by the Espee to put Daylight and other “name” passengers trains together in the San Francisco yard. Possessing some of the glitter of an awesome California sunrise, Number 1277 will steam below the Mayacama Mountains a scale eight miles as passengers enjoy views of the scenic Russian River. I hope everyone’s Thanksgiving was a good one.
Recent MPC acquiring. My CP Rail empire is building. I'm missing some 9400 series and the trailers on flat car. Hope to have a good sized General Mills era CP Rail train in the future.
Maybe someone here can help this photographer.
(CBS4) — A Colorado photographer is asking for help tracking down a family. Kristin Allen was out Monday taking pictures of the historic steam engine known as “Big Boy.” Later, she realized she captured this great photo, and she wants to get it to the family!
Allen says it was taken near Agate, close to Interstate 70 and Highway 86. If you are the people in the picture or know who they are, please contact KKTV 11 News and ask for Tony Keith at 719-578-0000. You can also email AKeith@kktv.com.

Everyone is posting videos of their new Legacy J3a Hudsons. I don't have much interest in eastern road motive power, so here's a proper Santa Fe Hudson, 3463 (a MTH Premier model), hustling The Chief at 85 mph.

I want to commend you for the work you do on the seasonal area of the VMT layout. It clearly helps make that layout special.

Great pictures everyone. Currently waiting for my sister to get back to me, sounds of #60's whistle blasting downtown but alas, after Thanksgiving traditions must be done. Waiting to head out to lay wreathes on my mother & father, and both grandparents. Maybe I will be able to catch #60 when we are heading to the cemetery where my parents are buried. If not, on the ride home. See what comes.
Set up the tree this weekend. With new living room furniture, I was able to make a expanded track plan this year. I've ordered a FasTrack 90 degree crossover. So the two circles will make way for a figure 8 come next weekend.
The K-Line by LIONEL Santa Fe SD75M diesel-electric locomotive and the ATLAS O Santa Fe C40-8W diesel-electric locomotive operate well together.
On the other track is an MTH PREMIER Santa Fe C44-9W diesel-electric locomotive made years ago.
