I found this at the Greenburg show last weekend all metal and I added some familiar passengers. Let’s see your Tinplate!

A Marklin O gauge crane from 1935 partially restored, I like crane cars.
Have a nice tinplate weekend, Daniel

JEP made 0 gauge trains in different sizes which of course had different prizes. Recently I had a run with 2 trains, one from the twenties and the other from the thirties (with incompatible couplings) from the larger (i.e. normal) range:

Thanks Dave. I saw it on a shelf and thought; “That’s coming home” !
Chris, I hope you and all of the guys/gals here had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am in the process of a total makeover of my layout after 14 years so that I can incorporate some fantastic new tinplate accessories. I'll post photos when the work progresses.

I went, telling myself I would buy nothing...never works out.

I won the last car I needed for my set of Ives 124/125 cars on eBay. The seller was Dave McEntarfer, who some of you may know was the author of Greenberg’s Guide to Lionel Trains Vol IV, which I own. I enjoy knowing the ownership history of my collection so this was nice to get the last car from him. I lost 3 auctions for this Frisco car this year. One C-7 condition car sold for almost $800.
The roofs on these are frequently missing paint as you can see. I’m going to look at my spare cars to see if any have a roof with better paint. I found one, but the gray was a little too dark of a shade.
Happy Thanksgiving!

that's a great looking car George. I wish they weren't so rare, loved to have some of those, but they are out of my willingness.
This is a bit small, more H0 sized but will work well with many of the smaller O tin trains and a very unusual subject.

That’s cool Steve! 👍
George, I wouldn't sweat the shade of gray for the Frisco roof. Ives seems to have been pretty free and easy with respect to shades of gray for the roof paint on the freight cars. Below is a picture of the same car and, as you can see, the gray roof is much darker than yours.

Hi Dave,
This may be a little late, but I was searching my shelves and found a 262 shell with all the trim. Some of the larger copper peices look to have been soldered. It is missing the cab roof. Let me know if you need anything still. I can get to it again next weekend. Email in my profile.

Thanks George!
