So  I replaced the lights on my Mth subway train, But for some reason there is a weird "Buzzing" sound when I run the train along the tracks and some flickering, But I did install a capacitors, Although im not sure if it does the trick, its a 220uf 35v capacitor. Is it because the LED draw more power then incandescent bulbs?. Watch video to see what it does.

Are you using a single diode (ie a half wave rectifier) in your circuit? Or are you using a full wave bridge rectifier?

Are you saying that the sound is coming from the centre rail pickup rollers?

 

if so, then I would think that you might have a bad or dirty connection there, and the extra current draw is causing some arcing. Have you tried thoroughly cleaning the pickups, and checking for good connections? (Under load)

Are you using a resisitor or a voltage regulator or LM2596 Module?

Remove the capacitor Or

Reduce the amps coming to the LED lights? If so what Would I use to reduce amps but not voltage, If thats possible.
