What color are the new Atlas O 3006307-9 thru 14 HUB GROUP 53' CIMC Containers?  Are they red or green?

The first run of 3006307-1 thru 8 were NS Green.  The pictures on various websites show the containers as Red. Other websites show the previous NS Green.  It is a bit confusing.

The first run of Atlas O 53' Containers had the red Hub Group in the Jindo Assortment with the white CSX and blue Pacer Stacktrain 53' Jindo Containers. If anyone has received their new 3006307-9 thru-14 Hub Group Containers, please post a picture.

Dealers are also selling the Atlas O Gunderson cars as -1, -2, -3 -4 and on other websites they are A1, A2, B1, B2.  Knowing what you are buying has gotten difficult if the road number of the cars is not stated in the listing, which they are not in many cases. The last thing I want to do is purchase duplicate three-car sets because the description on the website is not clear.

Please post pictures of the new Atlas O Gundersons and 53' Containers. Thank you.

Joe, Thank you for a reply.  I was lucky to purchase the BNSF Swoosh Gundersons from Model Train Stuff when they still had two of each road number.  Len called me and said Atlas had misfiled his order, giving him half of what he ordered.  I lost out, but have been able to find the cars at other dealers at a higher price thanks to his warning.  Model Train Stuff and The Western Depot were able to fill my orders for BNSF and TTX Heritage cars.  High Country Hobbies also has some Gundersons.

Model Train Stuff shows the Hub Group Container as RED, not the green that will arrive at my home shortly. It is puzzling why the pictures for the Hub Group Containers continue to get switched, this run and the previous run last year were often shown in error.

Atlas O sells the Gundersons as A1, A2. B1, B2.  Then the boxes arrive labeled -1, -2, -3, -4.  It would make more sense to me as the consumer to have the -1, -2, -3, -4 designation as Atlas O does with ever other freight car they sell.  A consistent labeling practice would avoid the confusion and order errors.

If you have never seen the Gunderson 53' Container three car sets, they are well made and run smoothly. They drop into place, connecting one unit to another without the T-pins used on the 45' Gundersons.

I might break down and get a Pacer TTX re-paint too. It would make for a nice variety.

John,

Sorry you got shorted. I was lucky and got (4) BNSF's from Len. Hard ordering from anybody else because Len always give a really good discount on the cars. This time I did order some others from Joey at NS but not heard a peep on those (2 TTX, 1 AOK and 1 Pacer repaint). I see some left on Nicholas Smiths website but it still says pre-order. I am sure they are a little busy right now to fool with the web site.

John, I ordered two orders from Nicholas Smith. The first order for two BNSF Gunderson B1 and B2 is listed as "pending", even though one set is "Out-of-Stock". The other on the first order is "backordered", which means there are probably no more.  Nicholas Smith "canceled" my second order for a BNSF Gunderson A2.  I think they are busy because I requested that they cancel my "pending" order too four days ago, and they have not done it yet.

As soon as this happened I went to Model Trains Stuff and bought the four BNSF when they had two of each, -1, -2, -3, -4.  Now they are all sold out. The Western Depot has a few at full retail. I bought a TTX Heritage -2 from The Western Depot after Model Train Stuff sold out.  These cars are very nice and run well. I guess pre-ordering doesn't work when your dealer gets shorted.

I have purchased thousands of dollars of Atlas O from Len and Ann.  I named the Village on my layout after them. They are very good people.

I have to laugh.  I just received two cartons of 53' Containers through UPS.  I received the six blue CSX I ordered, but not the #1 (CSX, NACS, FEC) Assortment I paid for.  Instead I was sent the #2 Assortment with the EMP, Hub Group, and UMAX by mistake... and yes, the 3006307-9 thru 16 are the green Hub Group (Norfolk Southern) Containers.

Ask a question on OGR Forum and you will get an answer quickly.  Thanks.
