What do you do while waiting for plaster to dry?

I tried watching it but that got to be kinds boring after 3-4 minutes.

I knew that I had to go back and add some track details so I decided that was better than watchin g the plaster.

The plaster is still a little damp so I will start detailing another turnout.

Ok, this may be a dumb question. How do you add the tie plates after the rail has been laid? Is the rail still loose enough to lift it and slide the plate under?

Thanks everyone.

Yes, I insert the tie plates under the already installed rail. Doing this way eliminates checking the gauge continuously but I do check it every now & then.

Oh lord no...hours....and hours...least for me.... That glue in the second photo is an ooops...and has since been removed.
