What is on your bucket list for the 2nd half of 2014 (almost.)
A bucket list is a list of things to do or see, that will take some effor, if not a lot of effort. In this case, maybe attend the TCA Eastern meet or scratch build a loco.
Is this what you mean?

That everything I ordered in the first half of 2014 does not arrive until near the end of the second half of 2014...and the fall catalogs don't have very many more items that I want to order for the first half of 2015! I would not complain if they didn't have anything I wanted in the next set of catalogs.
One of the things on my list is to attend York at least once in my lifetime. I live in CA and I am a TCA member.
Another item is to start and eventually complete the scenery on my model New Haven Railroad. All the track has been place for several years and everything runs. I just haven't had the will or urge to get the scenery started. I even have some of the scenery material sitting under the layout. I am stalled on the tracks so to speak.
As far as more trains go, I already have more trains than I can handle. I need to sell some of the stuff that I have. This is easier said than done.

I have given up on catalogs....with a reverse problem to that above..nothing in them
I want, but there has been, so I am searching for a couple of older items.
I want to get off structure and rolling stock building kick and work on trackwork.
But there is a lot more that is not made, and some of which I can build...so...

Someday I shall capture the sides and nose of a Fairbanks-Morse "Erie-Built" in sand cast brass. I know they exist, just have not seen them.
I want to get busy working on my layout again. Far too long with no activity.

I'd like to find a correct boxed set of Postwar 211 Texas Special alcos.
I have a pair in a mint set purchased from Madison Hardware (Detroit). And I have a second full excellent pair. But neither have individual boxes.
A set was offered on EBay a little while ago, but the boxes were not correct.
At one time, I had three boxed, mint pairs, purchased from May's Department store in Glen Oaks, NY (Queens). Unfortunately I didn't hold on to any
the top of my wishlist hasn't chasnged since i was 8, i'm 44 now i want an 8801, sooner or later i'll find the right deal at the right time, i know it's not scale or highly detailed compared to the new offerings but i just love that whole set have the cars just need the engine.

My BUCKET LIST...
1.Beer

At some point I really want an MTH Crocodile locomotive. Even though it is from a completely different era and place I want to model I have always wanted to own after seeing the LGB and Marklin ones. I also want to do a winter themed layout with snow again. I have done a few as holiday layouts with Lemax and Department 56 Buildings.
I'd like to get the engines that have been preordered forever!!!!

I don't envy the searches you have to do for the older stuff, but I consider you a lucky person to not be finding anything in the new catalogs. Hoping that happens to me someday soon. MTH is the one that seems to be reading my mind, Lionel has offered very little in my chosen road name the last couple years. Atlas only a couple things. If it wasn't for MTH, I'd be in good shape! On the brighter side, I'm helping my LHS, MTH and the economy, but it's killing my budget.
Looking for the set of Kline passenger cars to go with my "City of Salisbury" engine.
As much as I dislike electric engines/subways, I'd love to see a Washington Metro train with authentic sounds and authentic "70's" decorating!
All 3 MTH Union Pacific FEF-3s - 838, 841 and 844! MTH Niagara no. 6022 and MTH Allegheny no. 1618.

What IS an 8801?

"bucket list" refers to things a person wants to do or see in their lifetime.i do not compare it to what you want to buy out of a train catalog, if that was your intention.-jim
Well my wish list consists of all Norfolk Southern Engines/Rolling Stock:
- A NS SD50 w/ PS 3.0 (pre-ordered)
- A NS SD80MAC w/ PS 3.0 (pre-ordered)
- A Regular (Non-heritage) NS ES44AC or ES44DC w/ PS 3.0
- A NS PR43C w/ PS3.0
- And maybe some NS Roadrailers and Flat cars w/ trash containers
Now I know half of these engines are in the last catalog, which I noted with a pre-ordered. I just hope that I am able to see at least the ES44AC in the next catalog.
N&W Class G
N&W Class S1a
N&W Class W
N&W Class X
N&W Class Z1a
That should do it for the alphabet soup, for now.....

i'm sorry i should've said a lionel 8801, my bad, it's the blue comet MPC era engine, that would make it the first blue comet of the modern era, still my favorite.

I did not elaborate above, for I have posted it elsewhere on here previously, and..
none of it has been made in three rail:
1. Little River Logging Co. 2-4-4-2
2. Small two truck Heisler...maybe two different ones
3. Weaver 2-8-0..passed up one I didn't want to repaint..(this has been made)
4. Cabooses: several, no kits or built-ups made, but a couple exist in O scale brass: Colorado Midland, FEC/GW, C&S (diiferent than one I am building) and about four more.....all side doors.. (almost all exist in HO brass and/or kit)
- Meeting Richard Kughn and Neil Young
- Getting an autograph from Denzel Washington
- Acquire all of the Lionel scale Hudsons
- Build my dream layout
- Become a voice actor
To give Phil Rudd the night off and play a show with ACDC.Nick
