I run all the RMT 64 Series cars that relate to my many Forum buddies...

I have the RMT rail diesel car for Reading Company and the Reading Beer hopper cars.
They look very nice and the price was great. The RDC has f-n-r and changeable running lights, need to throw a switch underneath the RDC car in case you want to run two together.
Also have the set of two coal hoppers for the Reading Lines or Reading & Northern, it was a current run about two years ago that RMT did. I will have to get the cars out of the box as they are in storage.

I am partial to that Ben and Ohio stock car. Didn't know they were here Have to call Walter. My favorites are the Budd cars. We run the heck out of them on the Soprano's layouts and they are like the energizer bunny. They just keep going and going
I've been grabbing the ore cars to one day assemble quite a lengthy ore train headed up by the Lionel DM & IR "yellowstone" from earlier this year.

Ben...Here is a closeup of the 'special' lettering on both B&O stock cars...that by the way are currently in stock.
And, check out the reference to POLAND, N.D....a real station on the former SOO LINE RR that served a truly famous BEEF CO. !!!.
RMT trains are really fun!
Thanks.

Which ore cars have you grabbed? They are nice!
I use the PRR boxcars as an LCL train with others from L and K with GG1 and van car.
I also am going to wire two of the ex-Marx/K-line towers into the layout.

taycotrains...That Beth Steel BEEP was made at least 6 years ago in 4 different roadnumbers. In 2013, RMT will be re-issuing 2 of those original BS BEEPs and the matching BS caboose. Just remember to give that 'old timer' a little lube job. Those years on the shelf may have dried up the factory lubrication.
Thanks.

Hey Walter next time I come to Steves Ill put it in my pocket and you can show me the proper "care and feeding" of that little guy !!! LOL !!!
This set of B&O Beefs with six passenger cars, shown here at the Gadsden Pacific Toy Train Museum in Tucson. AZ. I also have a Milwaukee Road Beep, but I haven't actually run that except to test it.

Did you ever hear of Gene Autry, Oklahoma...read about it on the Santa Fe boxcar.
I've not only heard of it, I've actually been there several times! Of course, it's only about 90 miles away from me, the BNSF (nee Santa Fe) runs right through it, and I used to chase storms all across Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas quite a bit back in the day...
My favorite RMT train is my Rock Island Beep , which is currently on the floor pulling a string of RMT covered hoppers (Ballantine and Piels) and Rock Island coal cars...

I have a Budd car and a Beep. Love the Budd, not the Beep. The Beep goes too slow for my liking, but the Budd has more speed and nice touches of detailing, like directional lighting, beacons, and chains on each end.
I don't have any RMT now, but on Cyber Monday I ordered the two LS&I ore cars (honoring my UP roots) and a BNSF caboose...I could't pass up those sale prices!
Some LS&I ore cars and 2 Coast Guard Beeps. They make a nice product for the money.
Alaska Beep for shifting, two Alaska RDCs for flag stop service and an Air Force hopper because my daughter is going to join that branch of military service.
I have a quartet of Bethlehem BEEPs with the matching caboose:
...plus one OGR BEEP. This year I acquired four ore cars, awaiting the next time I run an ore train, and a pair of BANGs, awaiting the assembly of an NYCTA work train. Looking forward to the spine cars.

Just RMT?...
7 BEEPs (6 PRR & 1 OGR)
2 Budd cars (PRR)
1 ABBA BEEF set (PRR)
1 "Cure for Cancer" BOXCAR
1 "Cure for Cancer" CABOOSE
4 Flat Cars with Loads (PRR)
So far.... I think.

I posted about some recent purchases in a topic called Nice and Inexpensive. I don't think anyone read it :-)
Well, Don, I did, and you got a reply from me. Thanks for your review. This being my first RMT purchase, I'll be interested to see if I have the same concerns as do you.

when in 2013 will the bethlehem steel beep and caboose be out?
I have:
2 Beeps (NYC & D&H)
1 Amtrak RDC & 1 Amtrak Caboose
Shafer Beer Car set
Christmas Ore Car set
Complete NYC Passenger Car set (4cars)
UPS just delivered an order from their sale last week of 2 A & P Reefers and what was suposed to be NYC Beef A-A set. Unfortunately, instead of a Beef set only one A unit was in the shipping carton. Guess I'll have to call Walter tomorrow to find out what happened to the other A unit.

Up on "The D & H Bridge Line"
My RMT roster is pretty short with a MILW Beep, Reading Bang switcher and two Bethlehem Steel drop center flats.

No, but K-Line made an even cuter Plymouth industrial diesel switcher in Santa Fe blue and yellow - they show up on the Bay every now and then. It even had smoke.
(late addition) In fact, I just tripped over one on eBay. Here's the link:
Ont Sou...And so are the BEEPs...only about 9 1/4 inches long.
Thanks.
