9252CC02-66B1-42B8-B383-BB01508AB2DCI had recently made a post about finally addressing the interiors of my Lionchief Santa Fe passenger cars. Just curious as to whether I can somehow tone down the brightest of the LEDs with a maker rather than paint the interiors. I just don’t like the brightness or the yellow that the interior looks as is. Maybe a different color of thin paint or marker to change the hue and brightness. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Why not post in this long running thread rather than create a new one with a nearly identical topic?

Uh, my original post  was moved. So I tried to make this one  where someone else thinks it belongs. It was one Paragraph with two or three likes. How is that a long running thread? I give up. Apparently I’m an idiot that can’t figure out how to use this site. I apologize for any inconvenience. I’ll not be renewing my subscription and leave everyone alone.

Ken...I think all that Bill was trying to do is to suggest posting over on the thread of a similar title which in fact has 27 pages and is one of the most popular threads on the forum.  I am sure Bill felt that since there is a lot of traffic over there it would expose it to more eyes.  Actually, I personally think if you posted over on the Scenery forum, you may get specific answers to your questions from folks that might have already experienced the same need that you have.  Please don't let suggestions from others keep you from posting and supporting the forum ... most are intended to be helpful and I believe that was Bill's attempt.

My original post I tried to put under Buy anything cool. I posted I bought some little people. Someone moved it to What did you do on layout. After some thought, I decided it should go under what’s on your bench. I apologize for being sensitive about this. It just seems that I can’t get it correct. When I look at forums drop-down all I see is the major topics. I don’t see any subcatogiries such as What did you, what’s in bench, electrical… I’m trying to use this site as others expect but Im having no success.

It can get frustrating sometimes but perhaps I can help.  Email me with your phone number and I will get with you.  It is easier that way since we can both be on the same page and talk about it.

I got to looking at my ol' 132 Passenger Station and the maroon base and my 'Gramma's tobacco stained' white siding and decided to 'clean it up'. I took it apart and cleaned it with water, blue dawn, vinegar, brushing, scrubbing, ... several times. It didn't matter - the dingy white was still not very awesome and the other colors looked old (because they are).

So I rattle-canned some white back onto the building and was pleased with that. And then rattle-canned a different green onto the roof and was pleased with that. And then rattle-canned the green onto the windows & doors and was pleased with that. And then rattle-canned some 'red-brick' onto the base, but it was even less convincing than the original maroon casting - so I tried a brown and was happy with that. And then I shot a ol' 2156 Passenger Platform to match.
