I like the O scale brass two, three, and six dome tank card.

I just got the MTH 20-96720 ADM #15005 "Molecule" to round out my NS black tank car consist that I'm modeling after a Pan Am/NS siding near Ayer Junction, MA. Nice detailing! Here it is along with its Lionel fraternal twin and their prototypes.

Have ANY plain black GATX or UTLX single dome, 8-10K, prewar tank cars been offered...built up three rail, or O scale kit...by anybody?
Colorado Highrailer,
Lionel made this single dome GATX single dome tank car in the late 80's or early 90's. It was a part of a NKP set. Many dealers broke up the set for separate sale. I have the catalog number in my records if you need it. I purchased the car because at the time black tank cars with correct lettering for private owners were non existent.

Not a particular favorite style, but more related to branding.
Sinclair
Dow Chemical
I also have four Allied Chemical tank cars floating around somewhere, but I'd have to dig up the photos. I also have a few 33,000 gallon cars which I got because they were unusual, but they haven't been on the tracks in years, so they'll probably be going on eBay.

By prewar you'd mean an ACF type 21/27 car or UTLX X3 or any of the other smaller mfrs such as Standard Tank Car Co WITH K brakes - or do you mean the O scale kit was made before WWII... or do you mean Prewar Lionel?
To the best of my knowledge none has been done with K brakes, though I am far from an expert in 40's or 50's O scale kits. The closest you can get is an Intermountain riveted ACF type 27 tank car kit which was subsequently bought by Atlas, sent to china and returned as the Master Line 8000 gallon tank car. There also seem to be other derivatives of this car (Lionel/MTH riveted tank car).
Then of course you have the Precision Scale 8000 or 10000 gallon brass cars which are also ACF design... or the Larry Muir/Hobbyhill which are an improved version of the same PSC 8k/10k cars.
Hope springs eternal for a 6k/8k/10k UTLX X3 tanker some day.
And of course Jon Cagle plans a Standard Tank Car Co resin kit sometime in the future.
