none under my tree, but I know my dad got me the vision line box cars. Lionel just hasn't shipped them yet.
I am just the big boy arrives for Christmas. Staying hopeful!
My big boy should be to me on Wednesday
We ahve a tree that is all of three feet high this year. It sits on a table. So nothing is under it.
They won't fit under the tree, but I bought myself some Christmas gifts though. The 3rd Rail Train ofTomorrow most noteably, which will not be here for Christmas, but that is okay. And the MTH Imperial Triplex, which was supposed to be out by now, but who knows when or if I will ever see the light of day . . .

joker34 how do you know it will here Wednesday? I ordered mine from Charles Ro and they sent an e-mail the estimated in stock dat is 12/29. I hope mine gets here this week too.

Chris,
Charlie has stated Nassau Hobby will be taking delivery tomorrow (Monday, 12/22; here) and orders will be shipped out the same day. I am hoping it arrives here Wednesday (UPS normally takes two days) otherwise I will be opening a brochure Christmas morning.

I have a 4' tree on a table with PW LIONEL trains running on two loops around it on the table. So, nothing "under" the tree. But, I am now on a first name basis with my UPS driver and have some big boxes in the closet of the man cave to open Thursday.
Here's a picture I took last week to email to my brother. I also shot some camera video to send to him--these were our childhood trains. The tree stand is visible because I had not yet gone through the fiasco of trying to use an unbounded product similar to cotton candy.

Nothing.....
I buy all my train stuff.......most family and friends don't have any idea about scale vs traditional vs 3r vs 2r......so it's better I handle it.
A lump of coal.....
Merry Christmas!

I talked to the shop where I bought it last Friday he told me the shipping company set up to deliver on Monday.
No trains that I am aware of. Trains will come later after I go to the train show in January with my Christmas money! lol
Nothing.....
Ditto...

I guess I could wrap my latest eBay purchase; if it arrives in time....
Just a new carry case for my archery bow.
There has been a train under our Christmas tree for years and years and years....
Santa Claus hasn't come yet but, I see a set of MTH Lackawanna F3's, a custom painted Lackawanna caboose and several Morning Sun books on the Lackawanna in my near future. There may even be a video or two about the Lackawanna in my stocking.

P.S. Merry Christmas y'all!
I love the postwar trains. They are so charming

Santa has not packed his bag yet, but if the Cab Forward makes it's way here, that's at least one train item going under the Christmas Tree.
No operating trains under the tree -- space is kind of tight in that corner of the room. But the Lionel 2026 I got in 1951 is watching from the coffee table, meditating on many Christmases past.
I'm considering a shorty Marx train under the tree for next year, though.
A few MTH items the NS SD40E for one, a NS water tower, and if I am lucky a new DCS system.
This topic seems mixed:new goodies and what is running under the tree. This year my Blue Comet is running. There are 12 old cardstock glitter structures along with some cotton-like product to make it all look like a snowy Christmas.
Perhaps the Train of Tomorrow will show up too.

Norm, I didn't know what the package meant when it used the term "unbonded". I thought I was buying a snow blanket. Got it home and it is like cotton candy. Honestly, my "snow" using the unbonded product around the base of the tree reminds me more of a low hanging cloud than it does snow--think of a cloud trapped in a valley and you'll get the picture.
I don't know. All my Christmas presents are surprises. I don't order anything for myself for Christmas. I so leave hints around though.

I buy the trains and cars and have my kids wrap them up to me for Christmas. Everyone is happy.
"I so leave hints around though."
Now that is what I call smart thinking, Dennis. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Well, to answer both questions....
Running around the small tree in our front room is my Dad's Marx tinplate set, which was also my first train and the first train my son used.
Under the big tree with the presents, I have it on good authority that Santa will be bringing me a TMCC CN Dash 9!
can't wait for the big day, Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas in the south Isn't complete without a sand pine Christmas tree and the NS heritage unit 8099 Southern. I have a ring and a necklace under the coal loads in the first two cars for my wife.

Best wishes on your recovery from the surgery. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas.
The train layout with ceramic buildings, and a K Line C&O caboose. That's not to say there won't be anything else train related, but that's it so far.

My Standard gauge trains go under the tree. Hellsgate Bridge, 115 station, and a Stephen Girard consist pulled by a 2-4-0 engine.

The tree in the hall has a Polar Express , yesterday my 6 year old Granddaugher was running and blowing the horn, a no frills railroad wish I had taken a picture.
