I got 5 pieces of assorted rolling stock, and my annual train calendar from my lovely wife.

I got a MTH Premier Climax locomotive, too bad it has 5v PS/2. Still a great looking steamer though.
Got a Ball Co. railroad pocket watch. Beautiful piece of history
A Polar Express people pack and fastrack earthen bumpers
My kids know me all too well. Scotch glasses with a steam engine print on them. It's a gear drive steamer, just not sure what type. The front drive unit doesn't look like anything from Shay, Heiser, or Climax.
OH- and a craft ice mold that makes golf ball's
Merry Christmas.

Holy mackerel. Nice
I posted this on a different thread, but it may be more appropriate here. so forgive the duplicate post if you’ve seen it already -
The kids bought me my first lionchief engine. Woohoo! It’s not the road name I model or anywhere close to scale, but it’s now my special, new favorite engine. What a great gift from my boys. As a dcs guy, I’m really digging this Lionel app and the responsiveness of the lionchief handheld. Merry Christmas to all and I hope you each get some nice train related gifts!

Sláinte!!! And a very Merry Christmas, Bob. Remember… no drinking and driving trains 🚂 🥃 🚂
Our family does an Elfster exchange - the program pairs an "elf" with a recipient. We set a dollar limit, and put items on a "wish list" for the elf to purchase. Lots of fun figuring out your elf...and getting what your wish.
My "must have" wish was the new release MTH Bump-n-Go Trolley - Babylon Railroad Co, stamped with Amityville station. Personal meaning - Amityville is my birthplace and adjacent to the town where I grew up, walking distance from the Babylon line of the LIRR, which I rode many times to the Big Apple. Got the trolley last night and ran it when returned home from exchange event. It was and is a Merry Christmas!

Looks kind of like an early Garratt locomotive. There is a much larger Garratt still running in Australia.

Very sweet! I love mine as well. Lionel hit an home run with these smooth running dash 8s. Our next project needs to be opening these up and installing a cab housing with 2 crew figures. I think this will be my focus after new years.

it is a homerun and a very FAST runner almost too fast
i was using voice control and said medium speed and that dash 8 took off like a rocket sled at half throttle
very scared to see what happens if i say highball
i might need to change my pants after that. that dash 8 is way faster than my k-line mp15
turns out i don't need the acela to have high speed rail i already have it
i set it up at church so i can leave it up all week
tomorrow i'm taking my hotwheels so i can load the auto racks
only problem was i could not get the VSR to function at all , my tablet might be too old.
MTH RK US Navy sw-1200. I ran that same locomotive at NWS Earle in early 1990"s. Walter
My wife gave me a gift card for Lowes. She said go out and buy all the lumber you need to finish the benchwork for your layout. Woo hoo.
Santa dropped off a Weaver Santa Fe Blue Goose, I have wanted one for a long time.

And we have a winner!

Pretty interesting history of these locos.
Thanks Ron.
@Strap Hanger- nice engine. I like the LC 2.0's. Lot's of features at the price. If you add a Cab 1L to the layout you can access more of the features in the loco.
I'm sure the MTA and LIRR will be OK with some foreign power.

A few Santa’s haven’t shown up due to Elves being sick. The ones that did come gave gifts related to my classic car.

From my lovely girlfriend. What a cool, unique locomotive. It’s as much fun as my latest LC+ 0-6-0t. Lubed it up and on the rails. All works as expected, very happy with it.

wow! You got all that for $26? What an amazing find! I have an original Lionel US Marines land, sea, air gift pack. Even though every car is labeled USMC, the helicopter is navy. That’s the way it came right out of the box, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the same happened with your set. Nice present for yourself, Sitka!

I got my first Menards intermodal car yesterday for Christmas. Great looking car BUT,,,,,,,,,, It will not go around my Marx 34" half curve without hitting my IR signal trigger. It hits my tunnel opening and will not clear my Lionel 315 Truss Bridge with light. My Lionel intermodal car must be semi scale, it clears everything but is about 1/8 smaller?

Ty Strap, Have to say it was a good find, thanks for the info on that USMC car have to go through more of my PW Lionel magazines see what I come up with.

Thanks Dallas, after 16 wonderful years it doesn’t get any better, we just get older!
My very few locomotives are all Legacy, and this being my second LC+, I’m beginning to like the quality and price.

Gas or diesel ?

Gas. I could have got the diesel, but I don't tow a trailer and don't do a lot of driving for me to consider buying a diesel.
