If you notice both have what looks like a leather shield on the trunks for protection.
The second photo caption said it's pushing a Seaboard Air Line engine. You can see the word "Bailey" on the car in the background so I would assume this "engine" belonged to Barnum & Bailey.
I wonder what the "engineer" gets paid

Reminds me of John Allen who had the Gorre and Daphited. He had a toy dinosaur on his layout doing the same kind of work.

I took it more of a 2-2-0. And the waste could possibly be recycled to fuel other engines.
Aren't these the "Dumbo" engines for the Disneyland train?
Being Indian elephants, they have the much smaller ears, unlike the MUCH larger African elephants. Thus, those "elephant ears" would NOT be effective on the New York Central, nor the Union Pacific.
