Well I will trade places with ya. I am a volunteer Fire Fighter and we have been out on calls since 22:40 last night due to Wires, Tress, Alarms,Accidents and a MAN DOWN call. We cover two townships and one Boro.  Funny part is there are people in both Townships (Hopewell and Stow Creek (Cumberland County SOUTH JERSEY WEST SIDE)) that still don't have electric but I do. Every time I get ready to go upstairs to run trains we get another call. Soon it will be people burning food for their Christmas Meals. SOOOO... PLEASE thank the fire fighters for coming. If we get called we HAVE to respond so at least thank us.

And MERRY CHRISTmas everyone. Remember those on our front lines Military, Nurses, Doctors, Police, EMT and Fire. They are working to PROTECT US so we CAN run trains in a FREE, Safe, Secure and HEALTHY Country!

God Bless Everyone for he gave his son for us, would we do that? I don't think so. Thank You Lord!

You bet I thank you, all other firefighters, all 1st responders and all other vital service providers. IMO, you are all heroes. Arnold

Was running a brand new LC+ rectifier I got for Christmas. It was tailing my other consist, my penn flyer set. The flyer lost signal for some reason and stopped. The rectifier, running at nearly full speed, smashed into the rear of the Pennsylvania freight, taking out the caboose and a boxcar! There was no damage, but my dad and I both decided that 2 trains on a single track line wasn't a great idea.

It wasn't my train wreck, but my son's, who damaged one of my loks. He had borrowed an MTH 30-1151 UP Challenger. I liked the paint scheme, had purchased it new, fairly cheap and was one of my favorite loks. He borrowed it and had gone to a friends house who had a large basement layout. The layout had a few quirky spots in it, but my son knew about them.  Alas, there was a derailment or something and the lok ended up on the concrete floor. He had always been careful with this kind of stuff. He really felt bad about it and I knew it was an accident. I didn't get mad, just a little disappointed. The cab roof was bent, seems the cylinders were broken and/or bent. Some paint loss and maybe some other things.  People should remember, these are just material things.
