Back in 2000, I bought a really nice styrene Texaco gas station from a company called Proscale Models, that made a nice line of several different branded gasoline stations from the 1950s-1960s. Even today this Texaco station occupies a prominent place on my layout and is really a nice piece. Is this compnay in business any more? Did someone buy the tooling for the gas stations and is anyone selling them?

There have been so many "companies" (maybe just somebody in his garage or basement) cranking out models/kits of structures and rolling stock, that you find a one time ad in a 60 year old model railroad magazine, and never hear of again.
Trying to track down any specific one of these items is like winning the lottery..it pops up on eBay, in a yard sale, or the right flea market or train show. I actually KNOW one kit maker from the '70's who has just retired from his hobby shop, and I recently found some kits he made on eBay, but not THE one I wanted. At the time I was still in HO and didn't look long at that kit. About all you can do is, if you kept the box and
have an address, is fire off a letter, with your return address on it, for likely it will
come back..but, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Don,
I still haven't forgotten your Shell Station. It's on my to do list which is long and fraught with pot holes.
It's one of the nicest small foot print stations I've ever seen.
Berkshire valley still lists it you just have to go to the next page.
hobbylinc has it in stock a little cheaper.
