Well, the department stores seem to think it's that time of year again, so tell us, what train do you want for Christmas?

Peace on Earth.

Very good point Rusty!

Peace in Washington so this country would have at least a shot at being great again.
On the train scene, the Climax set I have on order would be nice (due this month), but I'm not holding my breath.
The Lionel NS and Interstate Geritage units I that I have pre-ordered.
Also looking at either the S gauge Polar Ex set or the upcoming Lionel scale Polar Express 1225. These will not be here this year, but will still be on my list.

I am so glad that you still hear the "bell". We keep ours out year round. Just complete your list for Santa.
lots of snow, for a busy season
Nothing. (I spent the other 364 days buying everything I wanted)

Yep, I hear it. That set has become a very important part of my collection...one I would never part with.
Socks and underwear.
(Jedi mind trick)

LESS trains than the amount currently in my basement...some coming to a For Sale Forum near you this afternoon!
My Legacy NY PRR Passenger Set.
My retirement at the end of this month and more time to spend with the layout and trains!!
I'd like to get the Lionel E-8s I ordered, and the MTH S-1, but I suppose they arrive whenever they arrive.
all the items I ordered from Lionel that were supposed to be delivered by now, which are scheduled to be delivered by Dec 31, 2013.
I don't know if this counts, but I just ordered an Aristo-Craft Baltimore PCC at their special discount (sent to customers in an e-mail). Will match up nicely with Bachmann's Peter Witt trolley when it is released. Both are 1:29 scale.
I possibly could have a Baltimore "Christmas garden" type of layout in the works.
well on the train front i guess that would be an A-B-A set of williams PA-1's in PRR, every year i hope for an 8801, i'll get it sooner or later. the new one i really want that i'm sure will be super hard to find, the easy cheese vat car! my favorite snack. i'm sure i forgot 100 things.

Well...on the train front...and all fronts...we are having an austere Christmas...and that's OK. We're putting our "Christmas Fund" towards a wedding fund. Our younger daughter is getting married in September of 2014...so...most resources are going towards that. She works in Washington, DC and lives in Arlington, VA. She'll be getting married at Fort Belvoir, VA. So...what's on our Christmas list is a safe flight home for my daughter and son who will be home from UCLA. Having us all together for the Holidays...is a great gift for me! Matt
I don't think I'll be getting much in the way of trains this christmas since I just started college, but I will be setting my annual public display up at the "Redford Theatre", a fully restored 1928 neighborhood movie theater in Detroit, in mid November. Just having a nice looking and fully operating layout and seeing the faces of everybody that visits during that time is good enough for me. Especially the little kids.
Waiting for the Lionel Pennsylvania E-8. I am very excited about this release. But I must agree we all need to pray for "Peace on Earth and good will to man."
As long as my family is healthy and happy. I'm good.
If my wife manages to buy me the last 5 Ross switches I need, all the better.
Southern NS Heritage LEGACY ES44AC Diesel #8099. Due to ship in November, but I wonder if it will make it into Santa's Sleigh this year or if it will be late!
I BEG my family not to get ANYTHING for me. I buy enough stuff for myself all year with my many hobbies.
O gauge trains instead of the
dumb knick knacks that My
mother wastes her money
on and she thinks is cute.
I tell her every year. no more
stuff that ends up on a shelve.
I don't think I'm going to ask for any trains thiis year.
What I would really like is an Eotech with a 4x Magnifier
A LUMP of coal.
I wasn't a good boy this year.
For the 2nd year in a row....
The only item on the list, a battery powered tie rack (to replace one that is currently broken).
1) The last 3 Lionel freight cars I ordered for last Christmas.
2) RMT Norfolk Southern Business Train cars.
