I'm finally preparing to start to built my new layout. I have agonized over the past couple of years on the style of layout I would build and have settled on the "high rail / toy style" of layout. I have a lot of tinplate and Snap Track, which I will use with detailed landscaping and scale and semi scale locos, scale rolling stock and I think I'm going to take the brave step of installing working catenary, as I really love GG1's and have several of them with a few other electrics, (all full scale). I have always been inspired by Marty's wonderful layout, and would like to see as many pics as possible. I have seen the recent cab view video.

Hi Dave,
Marty's layout is simply fantastic, his catenary system is beautiful. I just send Marty a message that you're in need of photos of his layout. I'm sure he'll post here soon

Thanks Alan, yes Alex, his, and your old layout are the best high rail/toy layouts I've ever seen. Although I've not visited Marty's, the next time I come to the US, it will be on the agenda, (if he will allow). I really love the idea of working catenary, and I plan to make my own, as Marty has done. BTW, Bill O'Connell and his wife Ann are presently in Australia, and are coming up to my country train shed to stay a few days, from this Wednesday. It will be great to catch up and talk trains.
Dave,
I had the pleasure of visiting Marty's super layout in August of 2014. I've sent you a email with 16 pictures I took on that day. They will be from mitman6@......
Dave, the door is always open to you. I would love to have you sign my wall. Bill has been to the house.
Dave, TM Videos newest edition "Toy Train Review 5 features a 20 minute segment on Marty's layout. It's very well done. I don't know if you can access them through the forum, but you can order one online at: www.tmbv.com
Thank you Marty and Dotty, I will seek out that video. I hope I can meet both of you again in the next year or so.
Marty, can you tell me what editions of magazines have articles on your layout please?
Dave, in OGR it was first in run 120 and a few years ago it was in run 235. When OGR first did the video series, Rich Melvin shot the video.
Here are a few from visiting Marty before the Big E I love Marty's layout He runs engines without pickup rollers
