Concerning"new" (not used) switches, Do you buy directly from Ross or from a dealer? Do some dealers discount from the list price?

You can buy them from a dealer, but Steve is great to deal with directly.
I bought mine direct from Steve & Company.
I order them right off the Ross website,
just click on "Store" on the home page and go from there, it's an ordering system that's well set up and easy to run through.
From Ross directly

I got mine direct from Steve's hand at the Amhearst show just over a year ago.
Awesome service and a great guy to talk to.
I got mine used on eBay but you have to be careful. Ross has been in business for a long time and I got one pair that were real old and questionable if I should even use them. Study the pictures anyone who is buying used to be sure their late model.
We bought all of ours from Dave at Mercer Junction.... a member here at OGR
I used to get them from Bob Thatcher.
I used to buy trains from Kirke.
Then Jim Sutter.
Then Sean Marchev,
I have a lousy track record.

II buy direct from Steve. I find that dealers usually don't have what I want in stock and they wait and gather up enough orders to make a quanity buy from Ross. It takes a lot longer that way I find..

Gerry,
Kirke may not be with us anymore but his wife Julie is doing a commendable job of running Just Trains and I'm sure she could use our support.

I hear you Side Rod.
Problem was Shawn. Big problem.
I'm happy where I am.

I buy directly from Ross at York, or I order over the phone if I need it before the next York.
