Does anyone know where I can purchase girder bridges that are longer than 13 inches? Lionel and MTH have shorter versions. I need to span at least 13 inches on my layout with a shallow bridge. Thanks!

Try Scenic Express....they are one of our advertisers/sponsors. Their banner ad is at the top of the forum pages...
The Atlas 6923 Deck Girder Bridge is a 20 inch bridge.
We supply girder bridges of two types. They can be made as long as 5 feet in total length and available in most all curved track sizes at practically any angle desired. Colors of your choice. See a few examples below.

My vote goes to Jim. He made some in the gray and black above for me. Nicely made and fully assembled and did I mention he is a great guy to work with.

Excellent, responses. I'll check out each option. I knew I'd get some good ideas! Thank You!
Just thought of something else - Scenic express sells plastic girder panels ( RR0010 ). They are 26 inches long. However you can cut out the middle and splice together to get the exact length you need. Hardboard or some other material can be used for the base.

Joe, you beat me to it. Yes, S.E. Makes the sides. I'm building one now. Bendable sides are great. Don

What are you using for the base?
Once done please post pictures. I am anxious to see how it turns out!

check Eric Siegle's website http://www.ericstrains.com. Check his videos for the one where he weathers his bridge. It's of metal construction.

There is an outfit at York in the Orange Hall that makes bridges that are very long. I will remember the name eventually, but anyone who has frequented the Orange Hall has seen these. They are right across from Frank Mullen's booth Layout Refinements.
Steve I believe you are thinking of east coast enterprises custom model railroads. They are at trainlayouts.com
they they make laser cut bridges
Thanks, Gentlemen. I think I'm going to try Scenic Express first and build my own base. Lots of good ideas and products out there!
