Where to Buy a Longer Girder Bridges

I have taken two Lionel die cast bridges and spliced them together using JB Weld and a reinforcement on the underside.

My vote goes to Jim. He made some in the gray and black above for me. Nicely made and fully assembled and did I mention he is a great guy to work with.

Just thought of something else - Scenic express sells plastic girder panels ( RR0010 ). They are 26  inches long. However you can cut out the middle and splice together to get the exact length you need. Hardboard or some other material can be used for the base.

There is an outfit at York in the Orange Hall that makes bridges that are very long. I will remember the name eventually, but anyone who has frequented the Orange Hall has seen these. They are right across from Frank Mullen's booth Layout Refinements.

Thanks, Gentlemen.   I think I'm going to try Scenic Express first and build my own base.   Lots of good ideas and products out there!

     PANTHER97 I built this 5 1/2 ft. bridge out of fine chip chip board and used the girders from Scenic Express but I cut the angled pieces off each end.
