While we are talking about speakers

Morning gentlemen:

Another question about replacement speakers for MTH PS1 diesel boards.

Are these mini speakers suitable to pair with the PS1 boards, or will they exceed the ability of the amp on the board to remain "cool" under all circumstances???

I am looking at using one because of its 40mm diameter, cause will fit nicely inside the fuel tank of a RailKing Alco RS-3 "dummy" loco I am converting to a powered unit.

Sure, 8 Ohms is fine for PS1 and some engines did use just such thin profile small speakers.

Vernon: Just something I noticed when studying the specification chart again....it claims the PS1 boards don't provide the "squealing brake" sound. Most of my PS1 diesels do have the squealing brake sound if they decelerate quickly.

Just "food for thought".
