Hi All, I really like the smoke unit, figures, lights and led fire box, marker lights, added detail and the added quotes form the movie. really nice! My question is the whistle on my lionchief sounds better to me than the one on the 2.0.

like it is richer, deeper like right one to the sound in the movie.   But the 2.0 sounds hollow. The rest of the sounds sound great so I don’t think it is an issue. Just wondered if others heard he same difference.

The whistle on the LC2.0 version is from the Legacy 1225 Berks. It is the realistic whistle for 1225. However, it is not like the one from the movie and instead the regular LC whistle is more accurate to the movie. Just a choice by Lionel.

Not sure which is which on your video but the locomotive on the right has the "actual" whistle tone from the real Pere Marquette 1225 Berkshire. (I prefer it to the one on the left in your video that IMO sounds computerized)

Having said that. Even though the PM 1225 was recorded for use in the movie. At least as far as the whistle is concerned.  They ended up using Sierra Railway No. 3's whistle:

(Not my video)
