Who Made This Track Plan?

Maybe it is just so bad that no one wants to take credit.

Yard lead is too short,

4 tracks on a lift out is asking for trouble,

Strange long turntable leg to Tunnel ?

I kind of like it. It would be a good first layout to get started with.

It's from the old Track Planning for Realistic Operation book.  It started with a simple loop then expanded with the switches etc.

Mike, you looked at it in 12/15 - is that why it seemed familiar?

In the thread above it looks like the plan was modified to fix a couple of the problems TOTRAINYARD identified, especially the way too short yard lead.  The track coming out of the turntable going to the far left is still interesting, but now it can be used as a runaround track.
