I know Henning's has a nice selection in bottles, but is anyone selling in spray cans now that Woods is out of business. Seem to me there was someone, just can't remember who.

Tebolt list 12 oz spray cans.
Try; Hobby Horse Products, Karl Burchett, Box 543, Kendallville, IN 46755 no web site and phone is 280-347-3958 I acquired a can of GG1 Brunswick Green and have a fried that has acquired several colors from him and very pleased.
Steve,
Got to go with RJT on this one, Hobby Horse has the best paint for Tin Plate I have ever seen or used. And their PRR Brunswick Green paint is perfect. Their Red for the old 810 Crane Car roof is almost perfect also. Sprayed on light in several coats, it makes Tin Plate new again.
Burchett has good stuff for painting Tin.

I have a selection of "close" Krylon and Rustoleum paints I do use, but they're way off on the apple green.

Here is a link to the Hobby Horse web site:
I have a lot of their tools. Not familiar with the paint.
Is Train Enamel (Charlie Woods) off the market?
That's the paint I last used, but it was years ago.
I could have sworn that I read a post complaining about their prices recently.
As far as I know Toy Train Enamel is still in business. I've always used their colors for everything except AF Accessory green, Lionel Standard Tan, and blacks. http://www.trainenamel.com/

Harry actually sells the kit with the aerosol, so you don't need a compressor. Kind of like a DIY spray can. I spent $50 for Woods paint a few years ago at York, but when I got them home they only sputtered and dripped, never again.
Steve where do these kits come from? Cheers Jim
CWB,
Thanks for the Hobby Horse link, I put her right in my favorites list.

Steve,
I share your frustration on this especially on the apple green. Looks like Mikestrainsandhobbies has it but never tried it. I've gone the custom paint match with the local paint shop and they do a great job but the 3 can minimum gets pricey. If you come across a good apple green in spray can for Lionel please let us know! Thanks
John

That's the old Charlie Wood site. He sold the business a few years back.
The new site is http://www.trainenamels.com.

Here is what we have left in-stock of the original Weaver SCALECOAT I Tinplate Restoration Colors. Some may already be sold out, so e-mail or call us if you are looking for something specific.
Thank you!
Called Jr. Junction and got the last S93 Stephen Girard green in stock. The S92 Apple green I bought before from them was completely out. So searched for Scalecoat 1 spray and just ordered from these folks- a bit pricey but hey we'll see how it goes....they do carry a pretty good selection.
I am having fun looking for rattle can paint that is close to the Lionel's colors. I have found several that are quite good especially at my level of "restoring". Have found tan(mojave), orange(terra cota) , yellow, dark green, red but still looking. It's a game.
