I have a Lionel 38235 traditional size GG-1 from the 2012 catalog that I just bought, but it wobbles left to right when it is moving. Any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure which GG-1 you have, but the post war GG-1s, especially the single motor version, would hunt or snake down the track. As I recall this went away when they were pulling a load.
If you are referring to some other motion, bent axles or wheels not mounted in the center or out do round can cause wobbling problems. Try to watch the wheels as the locomotive runs slowly and see if you can identify where the motion is coming from.

This one Arthur, 6-38235. Magnetraction, jaygee. Call Lionel and send it back. It's under warranty or return it to the dealer for an exchange if you bought it locally. Axle, wheel, truck issue.
