Working on a project using a 44 tonner body on a 70 tonner frame and running gear. I would assume the motor trucks are interchangeable with each other and thus the reverse boards would be the same as well. The reverse boards have the same number etched on on them (BII1305-PCB003), only difference is the 70 tonner has two 2200uF capacitors externally connected on the board bottom to the front motor socket.
What are these capacitors for? and per above since the board is the same and assume the motors I want to get rid of them for space sake. Also the leads are very fragile and the power resistor connection (present on both) has already broken off (my guess is wire strands were cut while assembling.
What's your knowledge about the extra caps, and any other tricks for these engines.
