I have been thinking about purchasing an AA pair of Williams Sharknose locos and replacing the smaller than scale trucks. Since I have never had a Williams Sharknose I am curious as to whether the rest of the loco is scale size or like it's trucks more a toy scale loco than 3Rail Scale. j

The Williams sharknose is scale size, but the nose and windshield are not as good as Weaver, MTH and Lionel models. On the Williams, the nose is pretty flat on top instead of sloping down slightly toward the headlight. The biggest flaw is the windshield. It is vertical on the Williams vs. angled on the prototype and all of the other manufacturer's models. Lionel's model is the best, with windshield, nose and trucks all correct.
Note that Weaver sold to MTH their model Shark RF16. Other than add on details, the body should be identical.
