My favorite engine has a a loose wheel on the rear power truck It would fall right off if it were not for the side frame. I read the warranty for Williams and it appears I may have to send it back for repairs. My question is what has been your experience with Williams in this case? Their warranty states if its been over one year, there may be repair charges. If so,  I probably may as well just buy another power truck and fix it myself.

Since Williams is now part of Bachmann, service returns follow their guidelines.  If it has been over a year, there is a service charge and your item is either fixed or replaced.  In my experience, at least for HO and N gauge, it is usually replaced.  For Williams items, that fee is $30.00.  There is no mention of being charged for parts on their webpage if they would fix your item.  That webpage is here:  http://www.bachmanntrains.com/...usa/service_2010.php

I had a friend that had a Williams engine that failed after a year.  He paid the $30.00 fee and they replaced the engine with a new one.
