Williams GG1 truck apron sits very close to track

Anyone else have issues with a semi-scale Williams GG1 front of the trucks hitting the tracks and sparking ? This is a relatively late model produced and the gap is very minimal, maybe about 1/8 inch. I see 2 washers and a spring for each truck screw, but nothing looks like it can be adjusted.

My early 1980's GG1 (big Pittman motors and a mechanical e unit to reverse) had the same problem. Some strokes with a half round file did the trick.
