I would like to attempt individual window glazing on my Ameri-Towne Post Office building. I appreciate any suggestions. I have discovered 3 products that might work for individual windows:

1 Deluxe Materials Glue N Glaze

2. Micro's Kristal Klear

3. Model Tech Studio's Window Pro Glazing

They all seem to work using the same principal. Have any forum members tried any of these?

Any success and or advice?

Many Thanks

Tom

While not on your list. My go to for gluing glazing is this from Micromark.

I use a Microbrush to apply. Goes on similar to a thinned Elmer’s glue. You don’t need a lot and after it’s brushed on it stays put. No rush whatsoever applying your glazing. You wait for it to dry which takes about 20 minutes. It will turn from white to a sort of clear when dry.   I’ve let it sit for hours. When you place the glazing on it’s just tacky kind of like a sticker adhesive. Nothing will ooze out and smear the glazing as it’s no longer in a liquid state. Works particularly well with Tichy windows that have pre cut glazing and just a small area to drop them in. Everyone has their favorite. This one just works for me.

I believe I misread your post. Your looking for a liquid form to replicate the glass. Not gluing in the glazing. I did a few Craftsman kits with that method and used a product called Gallery Glass. I think I got it at Michaels. It worked well but takes a bit of practice. It’s good at filling in about a 1/4 x1/4 area. You have to drag the liquid with a toothpick and start on one side and pull the liquid to the other. Once cured it’s clear. Will dry to sort of a wavy look and resembles old school glass. I’m not familiar with the Ameritown Post Office. Just remember many  offering reviews are modeling in HO where your not covering a big area. Works well to represent glass. But a big area is beyond my skill level.

I got a picture of the Gallery Glass on a structure. Canopy Glue can also be used. Most hobby dealing with RC Planes carry it. I first saw it demoed by George Selios in one of the Allen Keller videos. He didn’t bother with the toothpick trick. He just gave each window pane a squirt right out of the bottle. In the picture below. It took a bit of practice doing panes of this size. HO I’m sure goes a lot easier. It says you can do a broad area. But the size of these were about my modeling skill set limit. I haven’t read much lately on doing glazing this way. With all the Laser cut kits on the market and even Tichy. It gives you laser cut glass making the job easy. I know in George Selio’s case who built many structures featuring a lot of windows on a large layout. This was probably a real time saver over cutting out individual glazing and still have to glue it in place.
