I'm looking to replace those plasticky window strips in my Dad's Pre-War 600-Series passenger cars. We have the short green cars #607 and 608 and the longer red 600, 601, 602 cars.
Who has these parts?

No luck yet. Anybody know the parts numbers?
Jon
I got mine at Henning's a year or so ago. I think they call it window plastic for Lionel Trains. You might have better luck calling them directly than trying to find it online.

This is from Olsen's. You may get it faster by calling them and ordering it.

you can make strips from milk cartens (frosted) they look beter if you have the lights
working. the cars you are describing are 5 and 6 window cars with small top window you
hardly see the colored portion on top.
Hi kooljock1, try this. Go to Walmart & pick up a pack of Avery Advantage "style edge" insertable dividers, I think in the office supply display. You get five sheets of frosted plastic dividers that are heavy stock. If your handy with a hobby knife, you can make window inserts for a dozen cars. Just cut strips to the height needed & makea slit at each tab. The dividers are 8 1/2 x 11 I used 1/2 a sheet restoring my 613/613/614 cars.
Great idea!

I got some clear plastic from work. scratched it up with sandpaper for the frosted look.I would think a craft store would have some.
