Can/should you wire Fastrack pieces together on the underside to provide a better electrical connection between them? Our club is considering building 48" modules that will have the ability to use DCS. We plan to use Lionel Fastrack. The Modules will be joined by 5" sectional pieces using either a straight section with no wires (PN 6-12014) or a "block section" with wires (PN 6-10260) to establish an isolated block of several modules. Each module will "share" 2 1/2 inches of the joining 5" section. Permanently mounted to the module will be sections of Fastrack for a total of 43" in length (43" + 2 1/2" + 2 1/2" = 48"). Is there a an advantage to "hardwire" these 43" section components (30", 5", 4 1/2" and 2 - 1 3/4") together to minimize any problems with track joints and DCS? Some Fastrack has electrical connections on the underside and some does not. Can those "tabs" that anchor the Fastrack rails to the roadbed be used to attach a wire or is there another option? Thanks.
