My figures aren't moving. Can the crates be removed to expose the mechanism ? How do I remove the crates. Thanks in advance !!

If it's the same as the original post-war model, there should be a screw on top of the crates.
I think the crates snap into place with tabs.
Thanks for the responses. This is the modern version of the gondola, not the post war. Joe, I think you are correct that the crates snap in. Do you know where to press to release the snaps ?
In this picture, part #22 are the 2 pins you need to pull out.

Thanks for the exploded view. I think I have figured it out. On my Woody & Buzz the crates snap in. If you gently pull up on the end of the crates, they unsnap. My gear and worm were not engaging when on the track. Move the gondola upside down for inspection and it looked and worked OK. The cogged pulley snap in mount base was lose. I reseated the base and it snapped into place. Seems to work now. Time will tell if it stays fixed.
