Well I've reached the end of another building project and I appreciate all the nice comments that have been posted during the construction of this airport building.
Thank you all for contributing.
Here is the finished building.
the current building has a metal railing around the observation decks.
In 1935 when the building was dedicated as the Woosley Memorial, the railings were built out of wood so I put wood railings on my model.

That is sharp. A very unique building. thanks.
That is a great model of an unique building. I've driven by it many times, but never thought that such a complicated structure could be modelled. Congratulations!!!
Ray,
Extremly nice job. The detail is unbelievable. The wooden rails definitly look better than metal rails would have looked. how did you get the irregular stone pattern for the exterior?
Joe
JD,
That is a great looking building. You did a very nice job on that.

I like it.
Thank you for sharing the photos.
Wow, that is remarkably good. Love the stone walls. Truly a one-of-a-kind jewel.
Tremendous craftsmanship.
Very nicely done!!

Ray,
Very nicely done. I followed your links to see the construction technique. Impressive building skills. I could not find any links to how you modeled the stone work. If you didn't post any, that's fine, however if you could leave a little post here to give me some ideas I would appreciate that. I have a very interesting Country Club in my area that has similar stone work and have thought of modeling their building.
Kindly,

Kindly,
After looking on the internet for photos of stone walls, I took one of the photos and copied it onto a Microsoft Word page until it filled the page.
I then printed this out and glued the printed paper to the sides of the building with spray adhesive.
Thanks Ray, I appreciate the follow-up.
