We used on our old layout the configuration described on page 98 of the Companion since we had 4 Z4K transformers each equiped with a Z4000 Remote Comamnder Receiver. All 4 Z4K transformers were simultaneously activated by only one DCS Remote.

Our new situation is that we still have only our present 4 Z4000 Remote Commander Receivers but we will have 8 Z4K transformes instead of 4.

Is there a workaround since you state that my suggestion will not work?

Each Z-4000 receiver connects to a single transformer.  There's no provision for it to drive multiple transformers.  This is a diagram from the Z4000 patent, there are four digital inputs that come from the receiver.  Paralleling these and tying the digital grounds & power in common between two transformers is very likely to be hazardous to their health.

No, there is not.

Barry, does it solve his problem if he has four more receivers?  He was controlling four transformers before, can he expand to eight?  I've only tried this with my single Z-4000, so I don't know how that might work.

There's a "trick" that allows a Z4K Track to manage multiple handles (all right or all left) of multiple Z4000's. it's documented on page 98 of The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition.

Looks like that will solve his problem, although he needs four more receivers.

it should work safely.

Thank you all. In my  case, of course my problem would not exist if I had 4 more Remote Commander Receivers : I do not have them because they are not available anymore unless semomne has a hidden stock.

I used the Z4K Tracks management described in the Companion ; remember, I have 4 transformers and each has its own Receiver. It always worked perfectly.

Hence my problem remains whole for the time being. I am not ready to sacrifice 2 transformers to test the theory unless I win big in a lotery.

Legacy Station claims to have them.

MTH did a final run of the Z4000 Remote Commanders. There should still be some available.

The final run was for which item : the 40-4001 combo handheld/receiver or for 40-4002, the receiver itself I am looking for? Note: 40-4003 is the stand alone handheld.
