Hi All,

I have a young neighbor who was using a Z750 brick transformer. I tested it with a fluk meter and the voltage is not changing. It’s at 24 plus volts at all times. I did a search in here and found similar problems but not high voltage at all times. Is there a fix for this? Pictures attached.

Have not worked on one in years but flip it over and look for the power FET and test it. Chances are it is shorted. G

I have replaced many Fet's and repaired the Z750 board but for very little money you can replace the whole board assembly, and it has an improvement modification on the newer board!

in the picture of the board I posted can the FET you guys are talking about be seen? Or is it on the bottom, picture added

It's attached to the back plate/ heat sink

If new replacements are readily available, I'd just replace the whole board and be done.

I found a board but it’s fifty bucks. If the FET is cheap why not just swap it out?
