I just got a ZW type R and it is very noisey. I have read that you can fix by using JB Weld. The problem is I don't know where to use the weld. Any help is appreciated. Lenny J
I would not use JB Weld on it, JB Weld is a permanent cure and not easy to undue if it goes in the wrong place.
Maybe you should see if the core is loose and secure it better.
I have not had a ZW with a noise effect. Also there is a post on here about finding a transformer rebuilding service, reply there and see what happens.
