I wonder what the animated sign does?!

What a sight to behold! Standing nearly 15’’ tall, the American Power & Light Building is a stunning addition to any O gauge train set! Specifically designed to overlap O gauge tracks with ease, this prelit and preassembled model offers a modest footprint so it doesn’t overwhelm your entire train display. Plus, the built-in tunnel adds plenty of play value. It even allows your train through to get to its next stop or just unload coal inside the building. Not only is this building big in size, but it also sheds a lot of light on your train layout. Outfitted with over 20 brightly glowing lights, each side of the building is beautifully illuminated from top to bottom. You will also notice the animated “American Power & Light” sign, which features numerous lighting patterns. A transformer with two red LED lights, realistic-looking roof vents and a handful of safety signs also give the building an extra flourish. And, with the addition of a 4.5-volt AC adaptor (sold separately), this building will blaze forth with unparalleled glory!

Questions:

1.  What are the actual building measurements?  Not the shipping box.

2.  NO DOG!?!?!?!

Dominic,

The overall dimensions are 9-1/2"W x 14-1/2"L x 14-3/4"H. However that is misleading due to it's design. Here is a floorplan that explains the footprint better.

As for Jack, he needs grass to do his duty. Unfortunately, this building has none.

This one doesn't appear to be a resin building, and neither does it appear to be wood as most of their other buildings are of late. Does this one happen to be more of a molded plastic building?

Either way, I'm sure I'll be getting one heading my way!

Great Job Menards!

mustang,

This is made almost exclusively of wood. We are pretty excited about how it turned out!

Thank you,

Will FastTrack or realtrack fit inside?

Will it work with FastTrack?

play trains and Max,

There is plenty of room in the tunnel to accommodate FasTrack. I've never worked with Realtrax before but I believe FasTrack is wider.
