Mark the Menards Train Guy,

Very excited about the American Power and Light structure.  I plan to visit the special order desk today at my local Menards to submit my purchase and use some rebate checks.

I will need to move my Menards Power and Light to another location to make room,  but I am thrilled to do it to highlight this new addition to my layout.

Question:  Does this new building offer the ability to have it's power feed plug in underneath?  I really like that feature on my Dakota Cabinet Factory and Menards Power and Light building.

Keep up the great work, though I may need to make an addition to the house if my layout keeps growing to accompany all the new great buildings being offered.  I have added seven in the past year.

Jim,

Thank you for your support!

There is indeed a plug underneath. It is a great way to conceal the cord.

Don't you all see the scam going on here.  They sell you this beautiful building jammed full of lights knowing full well you will have to spend twice the purchase price buying replacement  light bulb over the years !   They must think I can be easily fooled.  I can not.   Instead of buying 2 now I am only buying 1.

Ed

My building is on the way along with 10 CNW tankers, hoppers and tractor flats! Plus 11 free trucks! I try to wait and order all I want at one time, saving shipping etc. I love the fact that at this price I can have long consists in various roads that are visually interesting with boxcars, hoppers, tankers and various flatcars loads! Add to that the fact that the consists can wind themselves among various terrific buildings and I am a very happy camper! Now if Menards would offer boxcars etc in Norfolk Southern Heritage liveries I will die a happy man as my Dear wife tortures me to death!!

Mark the Menard's Guy,

Ok you got all these neat buildings and stuff for the modern era guys, how about some Tin Plate Houses and buildings for us Tin Plate guys and gals!

Mike G,

I try to acquire the Military Tanks, Trucks , Jeeps ect, pretty much painted in OD Green and maybe add some Camo, the latest 1/2 Track I purchased from David1 here on the OGR, I touched it up just a might, and fixed the 30 Cal Guns that had been damaged, and painted them.

I ordered the power house 10 minutes after it went online.  during the process i inadvertently deleted the "FREE" Santa Fee truck.  i cancelled the order and reordered correctly.  the processing and shipping fees went up $8 in the five minutes it took to reorder.  so much for the "FREE" truck.  note to self in the future,  if you want too save some money than delete the free stuff especially if you   really don't need or want the promotional items.  Menards,  i love what your doing and the products but if your going to give something away than give it away,  don't try to hide its cost in the processing / shipping fees.  just sayin !  I'am still a fan

Mark the Menard's Guy,

Still need some new Menard's Tin Plate Houses, Barns and other structures, the originals in perfect shape are hard to find, Menard's could provide these for us Tin Plate buys, at a reasonable price I am sure!

Mike G,

Yes the Z4K Remote Commander Side Receiver is being delivered as we communicate here on the OGR.

Hi Everyone,

Here’s an update on the next run of American Power & Light buildings.

Our new production run is complete and the shipment is on the water. With a little luck, this beautiful building will be back in stock by mid August.

We will keep tabs on the container’s progress and pray to the gods of transportation (and customs ) that there will be no setbacks. I will update everyone with any additional information when it becomes available to me.

Thank you,
Mark the Menards Train Guy

Once you receive these, will you post pictures showing how they look on your actual layout

Jerry,

Youze fixin' to see one on the RC3R modular layout in August. We'll be takin' lots of pics. New corner scenery will be debuted at the Fair. Walt is building a Korber silo that will serve as the coal bunker. I have a Lionel sanding tower that will be the Ash Silo. Also have a Lionel unloading shed that will sit beside the Coal Bunker. This module is going to be lit up like a Christmas tree. I'm planning to use a dedicated Z1K to power it.

Sorry Mark, I couldn't wait and was fortunate enough to buy one from an OGR Forum member.

To everyone else, sell this thing out again! It is a super nice building.

Gilly
