Okay Mark! Need my fix,excuse me, I mean my tease for this week! Also, a free contractors van or a tractor on a flat car offer with purchase! 11% rebate works for people near your stores, free offer works for all of us!! Just sayin!

Why only in stores?  Most places allow rebates on internet orders.  Jack would howl if he had to walk from Houston to the Midwest to obtain food.

I believe they desire to build in-store foot traffic, which often translates into impulse purchases.

So all the people who bought the new power plant on the net did not buy it on impulse?  Then again, there could be some odd state tax laws in the state(s) M is present.

I'm assuming that you went online with the intent to purchase the item. Same may be true if one went to a physical store. However, in a physical setting, chances are greater that, while searching through the store for the desired item, one would discover unintended items that delight and add them to their shopping cart. These unintentional items are referred to as "impulse" purchases. There's a reason checkout queues are lined with an endless variety of crap.

Most likely because it sounds better than 10%, and more challenging to calculate it's true value. I was always wondered about Kresge's (K-Mart) infatuation with the number seven. No matter the price, it always ended with a seven.

I have allways thought it was wrong that they call it a rebate when it is actual a merchandise credit  .that is just money you can spend back at menards .not really a savings just an advertising ploy.

Well, if you get an 11% credit on purchases, how is that not a savings?

Gunrunner it may be . But it is more the fact that they call it a 11% cash back  when it is not . And you still pay full price  and the rebate must be spent at  Menards  so you don't really save anything .

I sent in 1 and only received about half of what the receipt said I was suppose to get.

Weather Channel has local weather on the 8's.  Guess it is something to get through the clutter.

Mark, good buddy, do I need to point out that there are no rebate debates or complaints with the "free" offers? Lol To paraphrase Clara, "where's the tease?"

I waited too long to order the American Power building and get the free Santa Fe truck, which I really wanted, so I have the Army truck coming instead (actually, my order just arrived at the Menards store and is ready for pickup). I just 'tested' ordering the building now, but the truck offer is not longer available.

I guess it was either the free truck, or the 11%?

Let's see went to Menards last year and bought insulation, paint and light fixtures for a bonus room, to my surprise they had the 11% rebate. Couple of months later I go to Menards and get a french door and a closet door for same room, I use the rebate  so no cash out of my pocket. How is that NOT GOOD?

     I am interested in Menard's Hobby Shop. However, it is Not Available on line. I live on Long Island, NY, and the nearest Menard's is in Ohio.

    So, 1) I cannot buy the Hobby Shop on line and 2) Even if I could, I would get a store credit, which I could not use since the nearest store is 375 miles away!

    Totally frustrating!

If you are interested in the hobby shop, I could help you track one down. Once we find a store that has one, you will just have to place an order over the phone and they will ship it to your home.

As far as the rebate goes, I'm sure someone on the forum here would be happy to trade for it. Or, mail it to a friend or family member in the Midwest! I'd like to reiterate that credit checks never expire so maybe you can use it the next time you visit!

It's actually the only ones I'm missing from Menards Military cars.

When there isn't a Menards in your area thats how it isn't good.

Since the Menard's flat car with a tank sold so well, maybe Menards should make another run of them. I know I would.

These are Menards tanks, just bought the flatcars with the tank,took them off and made the one above. the Army flatcars made another car with load. The helo of this flatcar, fly's around my layout protecting everyone here..The other flat has a Army rocket on it

That's why I hang out on this forum, l learn neat stuff!! Same reason I always tried to sit behind smart kids when I was in school!!  Lol

Thanks Menards as I just "Saved Big Money"...Went to my local store (have about 6 within a 30 minute ride) and purchased a new 30 ton log splitter w/ electric start. List price was $1,600.00...It was on sale and with the 11% rebate going on it'll end up costing me $800.00
