Y'know, I'm not all that into military trains. Don't get me wrong - I fully respect all of the armed services; worked at a defense contractor for 30 years, and still have many friends in the service. I'm just not into trains with those loads.

HOWEVER, man, I love this one!  I may have to break tradition and get one!

Sorry, but I have to ask, who's designing this stuff?  First, a tank that's half German and half American.  Then, what looks to be a German 88 anti-aircraft gun.  Now this.  I don't think this is meant to replicate the quad 16s cause they don't even look close.  I'm an American and I like American military stuff.  Again, sorry, this is not for me.  But, for those of you that like it, that's cool, enjoy.

Rick I agree 100%.  A few of Menards military loads have been spot on and those I bought but this fantasy load won't be seeing at of my $.

Looking at the picture of the truck posted here I would guess them to be Quad 20 or 40 MM anti aircraft guns, the truck looks like it me even be British or German and if so no telling what they are. I am just guessing base on a photograph. That is my 2 cents worth if it helps any.

Good guess Rick, I never saw the Bofors 40 mm quad guns mounted vertical the quad 40's were mounted side by side hora-zonal on their base not vertical.  The guns are to big for 20mm cannons. I do recall seeing something like this in a star wars movie.  having said all that I don't think the three rail tracks give a hoot.

I really do not believe that there is a "designing team" that develops these pieces. I would gander that they get molds that were used in European markets and marrying them with their own flats. That is how they keep the cost down. I think to design and then build molds would begin to up the price of production and then they would have to pass that cost to us. These are not for everybody as has been said numerous times. Yet, they can be fun. Yep, that is what this hobby is suppose to be.
